Check-in and boarding passes

We recommend downloading your boarding passes before arriving at the port whenever the ferry company allows online check-in.

Some ferry operators allow online boarding pass issuance days before departure, while others provide them directly at the port on the day of travel.

⚠️ Boarding passes can usually only be issued once.

How early should I arrive at the port?

To avoid boarding issues, we recommend arriving at the port with enough time in advance:

• With vehicle: at least 2 hours before departure
• Without vehicle: at least 90 minutes before departure
• Trips to Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia: at least 4 hours before departure

⚠️ During summer and peak travel periods, we recommend arriving even earlier due to heavy traffic at ports.

Required travel documents

Travel documentation requirements may vary depending on the destination and passenger nationality.

Generally, you will need:

• Valid passport or identity document
• Boarding passes or booking confirmation
• Vehicle registration documents
• International insurance if travelling outside the European Union

⚠️ Passengers are responsible for travelling with valid and correct documentation.

Travelling to Morocco

A valid passport is mandatory for travelling to Morocco.

Passengers travelling with a residence permit must also carry the passport of their nationality, as residence cards alone are not valid for entry into Morocco.

If you travel with a vehicle, authorities may request additional documents or authorisations if the driver is not the owner of the vehicle.

Travelling with a vehicle

Most ferry companies allow cars, motorcycles, vans and trailers on board.

It is important to correctly indicate the dimensions and characteristics of the vehicle during the booking process to avoid boarding issues.

⚠️ Modified vehicles, roof boxes or overloaded vehicles may require special fares.

Luggage

Most ferry companies allow passengers to transport luggage inside the vehicle and carry personal luggage during the crossing.

We recommend not leaving valuables or important documents inside the vehicle.

Commercial goods or large quantities of products may be subject to restrictions.

Pets

Many ferry operators allow pets on board in pet-friendly cabins, carriers or dedicated areas.

You will usually need:

• Pet passport
• Valid rabies vaccination
• Microchip identification

Important information about schedules

Departure and arrival times may be modified due to operational, weather or port authority reasons.
